How can you say that?
Think about it a sec. right now I like to listen to a band called “Arcade Fire”. But do you like them? Or even know them? It’s the same with design! It’s all about personal meanings. That’s why design is so hard. Of course you can group people in segments and have a bit of the same thought etc. But lets face it, people are different, and like different things. I like 70 different colors – you maybe like black and white. I like minimalistic images and maybe you like collages!
Make it your own
When doing a design we always design it to the target group, but remember to design it to tell something about you or your company! Everything doesn’t have to fit John or Jane Doe’s behavior or thoughts. I actually believe, that people today really just want to see something special or elegant or have the opportunity to customize everything to their own needs!
I love simplicity design
Leonardo da Vinci ones said, “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. I do agree with the thoughts of that great man! If you look at my previous work, everything is what I call simple.
Simplicity is when: usability is easy, when there is no noise, but most importantly; that the user doesn’t think about anything else than what you say or show to them! When you fulfill this, you will have people saying that your product is simple. So it’s not about how you structure things, or what colors you use, it’s how you do it!
